| It is here that I ask you all to share some of your works so that we may discuss them together. Go ahead and recommend some poems as well while you're here. I suppose I'll start this off with a random poem I wrote today. Don't be too critical with it, now.. xD - Spoiler:
Land of Snow
By: Andrew Rasing
Once again it is me that you reject,
You display that same chilled aura,
Why is it that you protest,
Because of this emotion you are proud of?
In this land of snow I found,
Within the depths of this solemn soul
Icy rain and wind abound
And lay the remnants of a heart I stole.
The ice is now thin as a pane of glass
Our love is renewed as we share a loving kiss.
Beneath this snow may lay luscious grass.
Won't you share with me eternal bliss?
The ice shines and the snow does glitter,
but now it all begins to melt.
Once again the flames of passion do flicker,
Our love, rekindled, can easily be felt.
Crumble begin the walls from this tomb.
The light in your eyes once again glows,
as blades of grass and flowers now bloom.
We both are freed from the land of snow.

Come With Me

Come with me and be mine,
To a world of endless treasures divine.
That in truth, half I do not have,
But will gain on your behalf.
What treasures before you will unfold?
The desires of your heart remain true.
A jewel encrusted ring of gold,
With a sapphire of the deepest blue.
Your eyes, the sky, for me heaven waits,
A tender touch, my love a kiss.
For each other we are our fate,
For all to see eternal bliss.
As in nature, all things mortal die,
A blessing of eternal life which god bestowed.
In this includes both you and I.
We shall watch over those left below.
Our souls shall rise above.
From the heavens the world we see.
On the wings of a dove,
Together, just you and me.
Our souls eternal, shall dance and sing,
Blessed are we that god is divine.
In marriage together us god shall bring.
Come with me, and be mine.

Witness the enchantment - bordering of turbulant skies and the heavens above..
It seems it slowly rolls over me - the thunder sounds.
Flashes of lightning strikes abound with a great roar.
The sky is shrouded in darkness now - the rain begins to fall.
The wind does blow as the leaves fly by.
I must shield my eyes or lose sight of my goal.
My home is safety - it is my solace.
Upon entering, the storm fades away
No more do these turbulant skies torment me so.
Though the winds do blow, the resounding chatter of kin overcomes.
Lightning becomes distant now, as the clouds continue their journey.
The storm does wane and it passes - rain can be heard no more.
It has gone - the uneasiness this storm has caused.
No longer is the sky dark and gray, for it is brilliantly clear - which I adore.
